Dear Jason,
My heart is saddened for the loss of Andrea. I am so sorry for your pain and I pray for strength, love, comfort and peace to fill your heart and mind…..and for your children as well. Thank you for all you do for the fight of cholangiocarcinoma and thank you for sharing Andrea’s story with us.
I promise to keep fighting too, I promise to do what I can to help in this fight for all those who have been taken way to early from this disease.
All my love,
Melinda BachiniNovember 26, 2014 at 4:45 pm #85537lainySpectatorOh, Barbara, you are just the sweetest and kindest lady and thank you. I had been doing pretty good as Dec. 6th will be 4 years but this week has hit kind of hard. No time to give in to it as I have 12 coming tomorrow for dinner. I do love Thanksgiving with all it’s great aromas. And I know Teddy will be here just as I know Jacques will be by you. Thanks for all you do for all of us as I am truly grateful.

There are no words to express how sorry I am for your loss of your wife, Andrea. I will continue to do whatever I can to fight the fight to one day find a cure. I do this for my Jacques, Andrea, Mark, Percy, Bruce, Teddy, Peter, Becki, and all who have lost their battle with cholangiocarcinoma. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs from New Hampshire,

It should be required reading for all those on this site. Everything Jason said in this post is still valid, especially his closing statements:
“There is no denying that cholangiocarcinoma is a very bad cancer to have. Even so, there are reasons to be hopeful. The variety of treatment options available today provides new hope for extended survival. Moreover, the evolution of the clinical trial process gives real hope that new treatments will be far more likely to benefit rare cancers compared historical experience.”

from Andrea to you the following:If I should be the first to go,
And leave you alone, my Dear,
Let not your heart be lonely,
Nor in your eyes a tear.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
I’ll not be far away,
With petals of love and tenderness,
I’ll pave for you the way.
To join me in our sanctuary,
And ne’er again we’ll part.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
I live within your heart.
Take joy again in living,
As you did in years gone by;
God knows what of he’s doing,
And not be questioned why.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
My life with you on earth
Each moment filled with happiness,
And love so few be worth.
I’ll be waiting for you Sweetheart
Where skys are ever blue,
With eager heart and open arms
Patiently, for you.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
May faith and my love keep.
Your soul filled with contentment
Eternally, I sleep.November 18, 2014 at 3:28 am #85528iowagirlMemberJason….words can’t express the saddness we all feel. Rest in peace, Andrea.
