I have waited and waited to write this. I was not ready and still am not but I cant avoid it longer…
Peter,
You were an inspiration. Gentle, funny, warm and full of dignity and integrity. I regret that I avoided emailing you until it was too late. I didnt know what to say or how to say it. You were a strong presence in my life and many others. You were a lion, a brave and strong soldier in your battle. I missed you so much when you cut back from posting. I cannot imagine the hole your passing has left in the lives of your family and friends. The hole you left here is great. I will miss you my friend and pray for your family’s healing.Kris

A truly remarkable man, who helped so many of us on this board. He already found inner peace, and now I wish the same for the loved ones he left behind. Namaste

and has time enough. -Rabindranath TagoreMay he be at perfect rest.

January 15, 2009 at 2:00 am #25596lainySpectatorOur deepest sympathies to Peter’s family. Peter is now in a kinder and gentler place free of pain. Whenever we see a sparkling river, a Halloween pumpkin or a beautiful sunset we will think of Peter and know he is not that far away. He will be painting our landscapes for eternity.
January 15, 2009 at 1:24 am #25595barbara6193SpectatorMy deepest sympathy to Peter’s family. I have read all of Peter’s postings and they gave me guidance when my Jacques was battling CC. Peter also answered questions I asked him via email. I never met Peter in person, although our paths crossed many times at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, but I do feel like I knew him. God Bless you Peter and I hope you get to meet my Jacques in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Peter’s family and friends.
Fondly,
BarbaraJanuary 15, 2009 at 1:15 am #25594lisaSpectatorI’m so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a brave man, fighting to the very end.
Condolences and prayers to his family.
And Jeff, you’re a hero too.
January 15, 2009 at 12:18 am #1915jeffgMemberMy deepest sympathy of the passing of Peter from Vermont. Bob Metz from the Page Hill site posted that Peter passed over January 13th sometime in the middle of the night ,after a peaceful evening with his family. In my opinion ,Peter was a pioneer and great cyber friend. His courage and strength tested new waters. He contrinuted to the Cholangiocarcinoma members time and time again. I personally thank you Peter for your unselfishness and dedication in fighting and trying to find a cure of ths relentless beast…..right down to the last ounce of flesh. May your family find the strength and courage through the higher being of this Universe. Hope we meet again.
Your cyber Friend with love,
Jeff G. -
