    Randi,

When I first went to Mayo to be treated I saw the “primary” doctors and fellows. I cannot remember the primary doctor’s names, but the fellows I have been seeing from the start are Dr. Bleeker, oncology, and Dr. Romero (GI). Dr. Baron and another doctor (can’t remember his name right now) take care of my stents. There was also a surgeon that I consulted with.

Sorry I can’t be of much help to you.

My “fellows” have been a God send. The treatment and care I have received seem like I have “personal” doctors who take care of me. I feel the stent doctors are among the best in the world. I would not want anyone else.

What doctor do you see at the Mayo? I am considering going there myself to get a second view on my situation.

Your news is so wonderful…keep up the good reports!

We went to Mayo today for my 3 month MRI. Everything is still STABLE! Blood work is fine and I feel great. My first prognosis was 3 months to 14 months max.

I post this only to give others hope. My heart aches for those of us that are presently going through very rough times. I don’t know why I have been given more time on this earth, but I will cherish the next months.

When we were walking down the hallway there was a young boy laying his head on his mother’s lap. She was gently rubbing his no hair head. This site reminded me that no matter what news I might hear later in the day (results from MRI), I am blessed.

May God bless you and your loved ones.

    Kathy
