Cathy, don’t you dare stop telling your story!
July 10, 2012 at 8:36 pm #50753jathy1125SpectatorJason-Thank you thank you, not for my compliment but by paying it forward and acknowledging Dr. Chapman, he is a special man with so much heart and soul. Thank you for the compliment also because I worry that by sharing my story people think I am bragging. I tell my story to give HOPE and thank God, 2 strangers and Dr. Chapman for giving me life.

June 30, 2012 at 4:47 pm #50751pcl1029MemberHi, treejay,
Thanks for your compliment. I am very happy to hear the good news about your mom. wow is it true that has been 13 months already? time flies for sure.
And yes, I agree totally this is a roller coaster ride all the way till they will find the CURE for us. but at least your mom can has this ride for years to come.
Keep on fighting and take good care of your mom like you have done already. Not so many children can do what you had done for your mom, looking up information;traveling far far away to different places thousands miles apart across America to find the best medical care for your mom. I even cannot do that for myself .
keep in touch and

June 30, 2012 at 2:46 am #50749treejayMemberHello everyone – I wanted to give the group an update on my mom. She had her 6 month post-surgical appointment last week. Everything went great. The surgeon was more than pleased with her progress and her scans were all clear. She had numerous complications from the surgery, but her surgeon and family practitioner have been wonderful. It was very inspirational last Friday as we participated in our Relay for Life event and she walked for nearly 3 hours. The people on this board have been a gift from God and a special thank you to Percy and Cathy. We highly recommend Dr. Chapman from Barnes Jewish in St. Louis and Dr. Nagorney from Mayo clinic…they are the best of the best. Most of all, keep faith in God. The last 13 months have been quite a ride and there is no way we could have made it this far without His help. Thank you for all of your prayers. Jason
December 9, 2011 at 6:39 pm #50748pcl1029MemberHi,vtimm,
I communicated with him via e mail messages since he joined this web site.
he wrote a thank you note to me the date after his mom resection and everything is fine. I think they will have a wonderful Christmas. He and I are from the same university in Iowa.
I think he will talk to me again if concern about her mom comes up. But so far none of that happen and I think that is a good sign. don’t you think so too?
thanks for your concern about fellow CCA patients.
Keep in touch, do whatever you can to make this disease go away.

Keep up the good fight and give my best to your mom and I pray for her speedy recovery and for her hospital bed to treat her well. I just spent a night in the hospital 2 different times in the last 3 weeks and the hospital bed was by far the worst part of everything I experienced. :0)
