Introduction

Hi! My name is Nancy i’am 51 years old and was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma Oct of this year. I’am presumed to be in Stage IV I say presumed because a biopsy was never obtained of the tumor. I was wondering if anyone else has had same diagnosis. I did have liver biopsy that showed adenocarcinoma. I’am currently receiving chemo gemcitabine and cistplatin and would be interested to learn how others have faired. Did it shrink tumors? Lymph nodes? I was a candidate for surgery until Pet scan showed spread to lymph nodes in chest. I have been told I have no cancer in any other major organs. I’am still hoping to be a candidate for surgery after Ct scan I know it will be a miracle but I’am hopeful. Would like to know if there is anyone out there who was told surgery was not possible but then was. Also any recommendations on any surgeons who have performed surgey when others would not.
