    Hi- Just to add to Mary’s suggestions.  I would also recommend searching in PubMed which is the National Library of Medicine’s index to the biomedical literature.  You could start by entering a broad search such as: cholangiocarcinoma tumor markers.  And then you could add more specific terms to narrow your search results in the Advanced Search section of the database.  Some publishers will require you to pay to see the full text of an article but you can also filter your search results in PubMed to full text articles that are available for free.  I’ve put a link to PubMed below, they also have some good online tutorials/FAQs on searching.  Good luck!  Tilly

    Thank you very much for your warm welcome.

    Yes, it is quite technical question.

    I will try to stain CTCs here with screening markers like cytokeratin, CD45 and some other specific markers trying to answer our first question like are there any CTCs escaping from their primary solid tumor?

    Will try harder on google search.

    Welcome to the discussion board.  Please note that board members are largely cholangiocarcinoma patients, caregivers and family members.

    Your question is a very technical one, as it seems to relate to the staining tests performed, for example, on biopsy samples.  You may wish to try searching relevant terms on our site’s search engine as we do post some information on research studies.   Otherwise, internet searching generally through medical research journals may produce the information you seek.

    Hello,

    We are currently doing research on detection of CTCs in CCA patients.
    It will be good if we know which markers has specificity on intra- or extra-hepatic CCA.

    Are CK7 and CK19 or CK20 able to answer my question?
