Pam, hopefully there will not be a next time but if anything like that happens again, feel free to give me a call! I am a teacher and home all summer and my mom is home and lonely a lot. Hoping for positive results!

That would have ticked me off, I hope that you were able to cool down since then.

That’s frustrating….. turns out caregivers aren’t perfect (please see me for a list of examples). Meanwhile, a breakfast, shopping, naps and dinner don’t sound too bad, sounds like you turned lemons into lemonade. And we all need more lemonade.

I know how frustrating that can me! I just hope that the scan comes back with nothing serious… I’m chanting the word “lesion” over and over……

My last scan was scheduled at 6:45pm. Would have been OK except when I checked in they asked if had had been drinking contrast for the past hour. Nobody had even mentioned drinking contrast or asked me to come pick some up. Really ticked me off. So, I began drinking contrast, the MRI tech agreed to stay later and I had my scan sometime around 8:30pm.

There’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Yikes, this IS a first! I hope you get the results in a more “timely” manner! More importantly I hope they are good results.

Strange for a procedure to begin at 9:40 in the evening…random. Hoping and praying for the best!

Pam…This is a first. I can’t think of anyone on this site ever reporting a late evening MRI appointment. Good luck, fingers are crossed and tons of hugs.

We came up to Michigan yesterday because Lauren had an MRI today at 9:40. We arrived at the hospital at 9:00. The girl at the desk said “Sorry to tell you this , but your appointment is at 9:40 pm, not 9:40 am. What??????? I had to have looked at the paperwork for her MRI probably 10 times and never noticed it was at night and not in the morning. The scheduler never told us it was at night either when she scheduled it. Heck, I didn’t even know any departments in the hospital stayed open after 5. I should’ve known that it was too good to be true since it was only scheduled last week. I don’t think anyone can get in for an MRI that quick! So, we went to breakfast, Mark and Lauren went shopping, we went to an early dinner, took some naps, and got back to the hospital at 9:00pm. Lauren just went back a little while ago. So we will probably be here until at least 11. Good thing Kristen and Bruce live up here. We will leave for home tomorrow morning. I will definitely be checking our times a lot more closely. What a day!!!
