What great news Anna!!!! I so love hearing this news.We are from the same area.My dad goes to the Seidman cancer center at University Hospital in Cleveland!!! His oncologist is Dr Nock. He is going on 21 months and doing great!

Hi Anna,

This is great news about your mum!! Thanks so much for letting us all know about it. Lets hope that the radiologist does not call you back and my fingers are crossed for your mum and hoping that the good news continues for her in 3 months time with her follow up CT. Like you, I would take this good news today and enjoy it!!!

My mom was diagnosed one year ago… she went through 28 sessions of IMRT radiation treatments and 6 months of Gemzar. She had the PET/CT scans done today and what a miracle… according to her oncologist at the Cleveland Clinic, he states the liver has much improved and from what he can see on the PET scan, there is no uptake! He said he has to wait for the final report of course, but he felt that the radiation treatments in addition to the chemo may have done the job. He told us he would call us if the radiologist finds anything that he did not see. We are beyond happy! She returns in 3 months for a follow up CT scan and blood work. He did caution us that it may come back, but we will take this great news we received today.
