Chris……My sincere sympathy. May God give you strength during this trying time. I have no doubt Joey will know his Dadda and fully understand in time.
God Bless,
Jeff G.January 6, 2009 at 8:08 pm #25278chris-john-joeySpectatorThank you all so much! Your words are comforting and meaningful. Joey will be an everyday reminder of our love and commitment for each other. Joey is the perfect blend of us both, and brings me the joy I need every day.
Thanks again, Christine

So sorry to hear about your John and so sad for you and your little boy. But as you said, you will keep John’s memory alive and your love will live forever. You are a brave soul and I wish you some solace.
Joyce MJanuary 6, 2009 at 4:50 am #25276tiapattyMemberDear Chris,
This news is so sad, I almost don’t know what to say. Your words are so beautiful, John was unlucky to get this cancer but lucky to die surrounded by such boundless love. I wish only the best for you and little Joey, he is lucky to have had such a father and to have you as a mother. As he grows, you will see things in him that remind you of John, he will always be his father’s son.

I too am sorry to hear of John’s passing. Lainy said it well, so I will just add that he will be in your heart forever and you will also always have a part of him with you in Joey. I am sure that Joey will know his Dad through you. As you said, he is now at peace & you seem to be too. Know that we are all here for you if you need us in this time of sadness. Take care of yourself now, as Joey needs you now more than ever. You & Joey are in my thoughts & prayers.
Love,
DarlaJanuary 5, 2009 at 10:23 pm #25274lainySpectatorDear Chris we are so very sorry to hear of John’s passing. You know that he is in a much better place, free of pain and suffering. How wonderful that he had his beloved wife and amazing new child to help him to the end of this painful journey. He will never be far away and will always be looking down from his star in the heavens to watch over his awesome son. Our prayers go out to you and your family.
January 5, 2009 at 9:07 pm #1866chris-john-joeySpectatorJohn, I will miss you so much. We had so much more to do together. I promise Joey will know you. I know your time with him was short, just 6 months, but in that time we three spent so much quality time together. I’m so glad we decided on Hospice at home, I loved seeing you and Joey sleeping together. When I speak of you know, even though our Joey is only 7 months old, I call you Dadda to him. He see’s your pictures all over the house and when I call your name, he looks at the pictures. I know it’s not the same as you actually being here, but it’s all we have. I am so glad I got to be with you in the end, while it was hard, it made me feel good too. I know you don’t hurt any more. I know you can look in the mirror again and see the image of you at Disney World in August 2007. I know there are no needles, chemo, hospital stays, drainages or pain where you are. I know you are at peace. I am at peace with that too. I feel good about our life together and the time we had. I am sorry that Joey will not have that time. My memory of you will never fade and Joey will know his father! I love you, forever!
