So many difficult choices. I pray that wisdom and knowledge will be on your side as you face the future and hope for a daddy to be there for his children. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Blessings, Susan

    Hi,
Qi, or the balance of energy between human and the enviroment (or nature)is one of the principle of the Chinese herbal medicine practice.
Once I went to Toronto to see a Chinese medicine practitioner for consultation,he is my high school alumni and he is specialized in treating tumors with herbal medicine. As you may have already known, the key to use herbal medicine to treat illness is the practitioner’s knowledge and his practice experience. This is especially true if you want to use herbal medicine for treating tumors.
He told me the best way to treat tumor is by using the Chinese herbal medicine to complement the chemotherapy.to provide a better enviroment in harmony with the human body so that the “yin” and Yen” will be balanced and therefore the body will recover from the illness faster and stronger.
He did not want me to be treated by using herbal medicine alone because he believes strongly the complement of the” East and West” in medical practice espically in treating tumor.
I hope the info. helps .

Missy, honestly I would opt for an opinion at Sloan. Your husband has his age on his side and I personally would consider further investigating into his prognosis. I would want to know if it has spread anywhere else. If it is contained in one area of the liver there is more hope. Has his doctor dealt with Cc before? It is very rare and some doctors do not know what it is nor have they ever treated it. You have come to the best place to be and I am sure others will chime in. Please keep us posted on your husband’s progress.

Missy…..This cancer evokes varied responses from the various treatments s available. I am a strong believer in making personal choices especially when encountering this disease. I believe that the most important issue is to fully understand the treatment chosen may it be chemotherapy or, may it be what is considered a “natural form” of treatment. Is the goal to keep this cancer at bay, is it to cure, or is geared it to allow your husband quality time? These are important questions to ask. Once your husband fully understands, he then will be able to make an educated choice.
You might also want to consider obtaining one or more expert opinion from specialists familiar with this disease. A trip to Sloan may very well be worth his time.
Some people choose quality over quantity of life. When our bodies betray us all that is left is to control the controllable and in your husband’s case it may very well be the best of all choices. That is what I hope for.
    All my best wishes,
    Marion

Sorry, everyone. We live in Buffalo N.Y. were Roswell Park is the best cancer place if you have breast or lung cancer. Kevin has a giant tumor in his liver and that is were it started. It hasn’t spread and he did do chemo, but he was misrable on it. He says its poison and I know he is right but it did shrink the tumor a little. He wasn’t sick just very tiered and we have 3 small boys that want daddy to play not sleep all day. It really bugged him so we found a Naturopath who found out he had fluke that started the cancer. He is on some different herbs and will be starting a tumor buster soon. I hope and pray it goes away. He will probably have another scan in a few months. HE does see his oncologist once a month for blood work. I did look into going to Sloan Kettering in N.Y. but he is determined to do it natural. He also eats for his blood type witch is O positive, he doesn’t eat dairy, sugar,or anything with wheat. We also try to do organic as much as possible. Maybe this will help someone else too. Thank you all for the encouragement. It’s nice to know other people r going threw this. I will pray for all of you too.

    Thank you,
    Missy
