Janet: OMG! He didn’t say and I didn’t think to ask. After all its not a GIST or CC! I can’t believe it. I will have to call Monday and find out. Teddy has a cousin with a lot of heart problems and he just wrote me that I do have a long way to go before something is done.
Thank you all. I really am not upset just wanted to see if I have company and I guess I have lots. My cholestoral and Tri Glycerides have been high for years.
That is amazing about Tom. I take 1,000 mg Fish Oil and have for years. It keeps migraines away. The Doc feels it’s from my diabetes. On a pill for that too. Then I take E, D (5,000) Calcium and Zinc. It is what it is and will worry more next year, honestly I don’t have time right now between the 2 of us and our Cancer Dance. P.S. If I go off my counts really jump up. Ah, such is life.Lainy,
Do you have high cholesteral (sp)? Tom also does and for years he was on ‘statin’ drugs to help lower it. But they did not help much to lower it or control it. It wasn’t until they took him off the ‘statin’ drugs and started him on fish oil that his cholesteral levels started coming down. At his last blood work, his cholesteral was 159! He takes 2,000 mg of fish oil in the am and 2,000 mg in the evening and it’s doing wonders for him! While he was on the ‘statin’ drugs his cholesteral was always between 300 and 400!Margaret

Lainy….you are just one of many with blockage in the carotid artery. Several of my friends had it either, unblocked or are waiting to the reach the 50% blockage. You have company. I don’t know whether knowing this makes you feel any better but maybe this hug does.

MarionOK, OK. I know it’s not CC for me but another rare one called a GIST. Wanted to let you know though I can now add another. Just found out I have 30% blockage on one part of the Carotid Artery where it curves. Doc not worried just said to keep on doing what I am (Lipitor and Tri Cor) and that it has to be at least 50% blockage before he would consider an angioplasty. Come back in a year.
The 27th is my PET Scan, the 28th Teddy’s Urologist and the 29th Teddy’s MRI.
SO, How ya do’in??? I have never had a bad day in my life but I sure had more fun.
