Steve, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I lost my Dad to this illness on January 13, 2007 after only 10 weeks of being diagnosed. It may appear that our loved ones lost the battle, but in my view, so long as we keep their memory alive, recalling their moments of courage and strength even in times when the strongest would crumble, they have not really lost the battle at all. Rather, they faced it head on, but their bodies were just not strong enough. Wishing you find comfort in happier memories.

    Brightest Blessings,
    Missing U

Steve, so very sorry to hear of your lovely Lana. That’s the best she could have – going in the arms of you, her dear husband. Hold on to the memories of your 34 years together. May God give you comfort.

Steve… My heart felt condolences. No longer she suffers and is restful at peace. The celebration of life without a doubt was a great tribute. May God give you and your family the strength needed at this time of loss.
    God Bless,

    Steve,
I am so sorry to read your post. My thoughts to you and your families. I hope my husband has a celebration with a pig roast when it is my time. It sounded perfect.

After being diagnosed in October, my beautiful wife, Lana, and I lost the battle to this horrible disease on May 24, our 34th wedding anniversary. She was so strong and tried to win the battle, but just couldn’t do it.
I was holding her in my arms when Jesus decided she had suffered enough.
We had a celebration of life on May 25 which included a pig roast and lots of other food. There were over 100 people in attendance which is a real tribute to her.

I miss her so much and I thank God for the time I had with her.

This web site has been extremely helpful, educational and informative.

Keep fighting. Keep praying. A cure will be found someday.

    God bless you all.

    steve
