lung embollisms

Just wondering if anyone has encountered what my husband has had lately. He was diagnosed with cc last Feb and at the time had a lung embollism that has been treated with Lovanox daily. Last week another embollism emerged in other lung, this is being treated with an increase of the Lovanox, though the original dosage was appropriate. As if CC wasn’t enough to deal with, this is scaring both of us. He has some shortness of breath and spend several days in the hospital last week as everyone panics when this happens. The embolli are being thrown by the liver tumors, we think, though he is also undergoing chemoembollization, and it seems to be reducing the tumors substantially. Anyone else going through this? Appreciate any shared experiences, as we are confused as to why the clots are not being absorbed by the body?
