    Hi, everyone,

Please check the link below about immunology research, I hope good news like this will come more often, if so, our hope for prolonging our lives as CCA patients will be much faster when big Pharm join hands together with famous cancer research centers.

I consider this is a big step going forward for us and the giant step will come sooner.

    Hi, you are always welcome,
And if you can bring your sister to see me at the symposium ,that will even better, sometimes if patient seeing other patient with the same problem, they may be more open to talk about it and knowing that they are not alone in fighting this disease, therefore may change their attitude . I cannot promise but I am sure sincerity with my understanding about this disease will be helpful to your sister .

    God bless.

    Hi, willow,

In addition to the email info. here is about what is the TIL in NIH .

    “Adoptive Cell Therapy

Beyond antibodies, it is also feasible to transfer effector cells as passive immunotherapeutics, though the acquisition, manufacturing, and re-administration of these therapies are significantly more difficult than that of monoclonal antibodies (Restifo et al., 2012). Initially, adoptive cell therapy (ACT) was developed to utilize tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) from surgically resected tumors in patients with metastatic melanoma. Melanoma-specific T cells within the TIL preparation could be expanded ex vivo via co-culture with patient tumors in the presence of the cytokine interleukin-2 (Rosenberg et al., 2011). Re-administration of these T cell products back into the donor patients resulted in remarkable responses: 72% of patients experience objective responses and 40% of patients had complete regressions (Rosenberg, 2011). “

with regard to immuno agents, I think I have mentioned them in the email; please remember, none of them are for CCA, but hopefully “off label” use can be of benefit to CCA as well.

    Enjoy the trip too.

    God bless,

    Percy,
Are you saying there are only two current immunotherapy studies involving CC patients right now? (The TIL and NIH).
A very basic kind if immunotherapy put my moms bladder cancer into remission (it’s been a couple years now!). The kinds of genetically modified immune system cells mentioned in one of these studies you noted are much more complex and novel. CC is also much more complex than bladder cancer. Anyhow, I’m really hopeful for development if this kind of therapy to be a more specific and safe form of treatment for cancers like CC. Thank you for your continued dedication to research, this discussion board and support if its members. You’re a lovely man.

    Hi Percy,

I’m very interested in immunotherapy but unfortunately I am unable to access the articles. Is there any other way I could access them?

    Best wishes,
    Jules
