March 19, 2013 at 6:50 pm #69905pcl1029MemberHi,
The doctor can drain the fluids in the abdomen by paracentesis.
Low blood pressure defined as BP below 90/60; but as you may know blood pressures changes often due to the change of heart rate;infection;dehydration and other illness or disease happened at the same time or even the change of the patient position when BP is taken.
Take it one day at a time and I wish you well.
God bless.March 19, 2013 at 3:06 pm #69904lainySpectatorDear Mark I am so sorry for this terrible journey you and Dad are on. He sure sounds like a very brave warrior. You are so right attitude plays a big part especially when our hands are so tied and we cannot really help with anything. I call CC a monster because that is what it is. Couldn’t think of a better name for it. 90/60 is not dangerous yet. When Teddy had an EColi infection I sent him to the Hospital in an Ambulance and his BP was 55/45, that was considered dangerous. I know how frustrating it is when one MED counteracts another! All I can tell you is, if Dad is being so positive and strong you have to back that up as well. You never know how strong you are until “strong” is the only choice you have! We are all here for you!
March 19, 2013 at 10:11 am #69903marionsModeratormark…you can count on our support heading your way. At present I would not worry about the tumors in the lung, rather I would focus on the lowered blood pressure. Your Dad’s oncologist is trying to do just that. Give it some time, dear Mark, and see how your Dad responds.
Hugs are heading your way,
