He is doing it again! Beating the odds. We should have known! We went to the doctor here in Phoenix who performs the Cyber Knife surgery and he said if Teddy passes his PET Scan he is a good candidate for the Cyber knife surgery.
The cancer is where his duodenum used to be and not touching anything else.
We leave Monday for a week in Chattanooga (family thing) and in the meantime they will schedule the scan. After that there is a day of set up, then only 3 – 70 minute treatments and he is done. The mass will die immediately and take about a year to shrink to something like scar tissue! They are also using this on liver and pancreas and other parts. If you are interested look up Dr. John Kresl, Phoenix and Cyber Knife Surgery. There are only 84 units world wide and 11 are in the USA. I know one is at Stanford. The doctor also felt that Teddy’s tiredness and pain is from the tube draining his kidney so we still need that addressed…but…wow….that has nothing to do with the cancer. Keep your fingers crossed for the Pet Scan. Just when one feels there is no more to be read, no more research to be done…..bingo…some new miracle comes along. So, stay strong and don’t loose hope you never know what is behind door number 3!!! Thinking of all of you…Lainy & Teddy
