    Hi tstewart,

I know that you are disappointed with your mums last test results, but please, don’t give up hope. As Kris rightly says, who knows what is around the corner. It is very good to hear that your mum is energetic, eating well and that you are enjoying time with each other. And I hope that things went well with your mums infusion today.

My best wishes to you and your mum,

    Gavin

    tseward,

My Mom’s CC wasn’t found until she had a lung CT to rule out a blood clot from a bout of pleurisy. She had numerous (hundreds) of small lung tumors. This led the doctors to look at the liver. She was stage IV with mets to the lungs when diagnosed. Lungs are a very common place for CC to travel.

I know you are disappointed with the scans and will hold you and your Mom close in my prayers. There is such a bond between Mothers and their daughters!

Hugs and much love coming your way!

Mets to the bones and lungs are quite common unfortunately. I say, keep thinking positive but be realistic. Who knows what is around the corner?

    Take care.

tseward……From what we have seen on this board, mets to lungs are not uncommon with this disease. In fact, when using the search function you will be able to read up on numerous threads discussing this subject. The good news is that your Mom is displaying such great energy and that she is eating well and that she is tolerating her treatments without any side effects. Don’t let go of your wishful thinking because, miracles do happen.
Others with lung mets hopefully, will share some of their thoughts with you.
I am sending my best wishes to you and your Mom,
    Marion

    Hi Everyone

Well Mom had her visit today at Mofftt and the doctors went over her petscan results and it showed in addition to the liver mets a single met in the lung. very small but still there. My mom got upset but then just listened as he said he feel everything is stable for now and they are going to continue with the chemo treatments. Shes having her third infusion today.

Cant believe this is happening. My mom and i spent the whole week together. She had so much energy, we went shopping, she hung out at my house and was eating like she used to. I was really convincing myself that maybe this was just a terrible mistake and that she was going to be a “miracle” patient and go there and be fine. I guess it was just wishful thinking.

What does it mean with a met in the lung? Its very small like I said and theres just one.

    Thanks
