    Johny,

I am so sorry to learn of your mother’s passing.  Please accept my prayers and condolences, as you join with friends and family in her remembrance.

I know your mother will be very missed by family, friends and her past students.

Please also take care of yourself in this difficult time.  Your tireless concern for your mother’s treatment and quality of life no doubt brought much joy to her as she battled cancer.

    Regards, Mary

    Dear All…

It is with a very heavy yet grateful heart that I pen this post today …

My mother (Mary) passed away earlier this week, succumbing to IHCC after a short but painful 5 month fight against this disease. Funeral rites were held on Friday and our family & friends continue with prayers and mass over the next 40 days per custom.

Heavily grieving the loss of the gentlest human I will ever know; a loving wife, mother and grandmother who spent every moment of her life caring for her family; a guiding light and teacher for over 30 years for scores of students who went on to great successes in their lives; and most importantly a faithful servant of God and a firm believer.

Am sincerely grateful to God that she didn’t suffer too long (was hospitalized only for a day before she breathed her last). Her last week in this world were spent gasping for breath due to her severe lung mets and will sadly remain embedded in my mind forever.

I wish to thank all the fellow members on this discussion board who have through their experiences and messages made my mother’s ride through this dark disease bearable in so many different ways.

    With grief & gratitude,
    Johny
