    Lainy….
It is definitely a ride one does not tend to forget, but might be a little more appealing if we could wear mouse ears while riding!! :)

Yes, low platelets tend to make some nasty nosebleeds, impressive bruising, and don’t even think about having your teeth cleaned……..I still have low platelets 2 years post last treatment….and my gums bled like crazy this past checkup! Welcome to the not so wonderful world of chemo!! :(

Scott, my mother is on a different chemotherapy treatment to you but she’s also had some intense nosebleeds! And she has experienced funny smells and tastes! All part of it I think!

I’ve been supersenitive to smells sine the 1st treatment. I just try and tune it out. I did have my first nosebleed today since I started Chemo. That was pretty intense.

    Scott,

I actually remember having an ammonia smell for awhile too! I am thinking it could possibly have to do with not eating as much and maybe going into a state of ketosis???? Not sure, but it did go away for me….and I have never had it again. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way for your treatments.

I have to say that I have enjoyed this strand….male pregnancy?….bacon?……cat pee? Only on these boards do those subjects come up along side a cancer. Gotta love it somehow. It sure lightened my day.

I should say I smell an ammonia smell for those of you without cats. My wife made spaghetti tonight for supper. All her clients were saying how awesome the sauce smelled. I still smelled cat pee( ammonia). The spaghetti was awesome though.

My husband was a hippie during the 60s ,but even with that possible drug exposure, he never mentioned cat pee stories to me.

1 weird possible side effect I seem to have…..I think I smell cat pee everywhere I go in my house. We have cats, but everyone assures me Im crazy. I am crazy, but I smell cat pee.
Anyone else smell things that aren’t there??

Mom found egg salad on white bread appealing. We just went along with whatever sounded good each day.

    Hope all goes well.

Ha, ha, Scott….I think that one should eat whatever sounds appealing; goes down and doesn’t come back up.
    Good luck….
    Hugs,
