I get so much comfort from all of you. I don’t know what I would do without your support. Thank you so much for caring. Besides my family, you are the only ones that truly understand what it feels like to go through this. Susie- Lauren has an MRI on Nov. 1. Well, it is off to bed for me. Busy day tomorrow. Stay strong everyone.
Love, Pam

MichaelOctober 23, 2011 at 5:24 am #53146marionsModeratorPam….These cancer cells don’t know what’s coming their way. Have a safe trip and know that a tidal wave of support is heading yours and Lauren’s way.
All my best wishes,
MarionOctober 23, 2011 at 4:12 am #53145wallsm1SpectatorPam,
When is Lauren due for scans? I hope the 4th round goes smoothly. I always made some ginger tea and took it to chemo with me.
Take care!
SusieOctober 23, 2011 at 4:11 am #53144pamSpectatorPam, I will be thinking of you all as you travel for Lauren’s chemo. There has to be considerable shrinkage! I believe it! Take it easy and be safe.
October 23, 2011 at 3:29 am #53143pamelaSpectatorThank you all for your kind and inspirational words. Well, two weeks have flown by and we will be making the journey to Michigan tomorrow. Lauren will have her fourth round of chemo on Monday. Sure hope it is working. Bless all of you who are suffering from this disease. My prayers are that you will get well and live a happy life.

October 20, 2011 at 7:22 am #53142marionsModeratorPamela…my husband was 61 years old when diagnosed. He was an attorney with a large practice, was highly respected amongst his peers and adored by his clients. He also held a degree in psychology. I adored him for who he was and for what he had accomplished in life and for how much he loved his family.
He focused solely on staying strong and positive and read very little about this disease. I believe that everyone has his/her own way of dealing with an illness may it be the patient or the caretaker. Pamela, your daughter knows that you are in her court and that you will do anything in your power to support her. And, that must give her enormous comfort.
All my best wishes,
MarionOctober 19, 2011 at 6:12 pm #53141mariaSpectatorDear Pamela!
I’m to be 45 next week, so I’m probably more your age than your daughterOctober 19, 2011 at 2:57 pm #53140jennifersMemberPam – I just read your caring bridge site and wanted to let you know that I’m sending you and your beautiful daughter positive thoughts and prayers. I’m so sorry that you are having to deal with this disease, but thankful that Lauren has an incredible family by her side during her fight. I hope she’s feeling a lot better today, and the meds / caffeine keep that headache away!

October 18, 2011 at 9:48 pm #53139pamelaSpectatorThat’s ok Susie. I figured that was the case. I know you are such a sweet person and want to help that you would never ignore me. I can’t even remember what I said to you. Oh, well. I will talk to you on here. I hope you are doing well. Lauren got sick last night for the first time. I think she ate something too rich for her stomach. She threw up a bunch. She has had a really bad headache for a few days. Like a migraine. Her neck above her port seems to give her pain sometimes. Her shoulder pain has been bad lately too. I called her oncologist’s nurse and she said to drink something with caffeine in it and take a hydrocodone. So she drank a few Coke Zeros. It seemed to do the trick for now. The nurse said she could have been dehydrated and that will make you feel terrible. She takes morphine every day, but hydrocodone only once in awhile. The nurse said to get poppin’ those pills a little more often if she is in pain. She doesn’t like to take a lot of drugs, but if she wants to feel better I guess she’ll have to. Well, thanks for dropping me a line. I will talk to you later. Take care and God bless you.
Love, PamOctober 18, 2011 at 2:26 am #53138wallsm1SpectatorPam, I just saw in this thread you sent me an email. I never got it. I’ve also emailed a few people on this site and have never gotten a response. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I wasn’t ignoring you. Anyone else have problems getting email from this site? I have a feeling it is just me…my husband is an internet security specialist and probably has a bunch of unnecessary security on my email. That is the problem being married to a computer guy. I can’t even access my own email, lol.
Take care everyone!
SusieOctober 17, 2011 at 1:52 pm #53137pamelaSpectatorThanks Susie. I think of you often and pray that you will stay well. I am sorry you have to go through all of this. I am in your corner, kid.
