My father is 79 years old. He was diagnosed CC 5 weeks ago. The doctor suggested surgery. So 10 days ago, he had surgery. But the tumor was not able to be removed. Only the gallbladder was removed. 9 days after the surgery, the infections and bile leak was found and he received a drainage procedure yesterday. Now I was told that the plastic tube done with the ERCP procedure 4 weeks ago has to be replaced, and my dad’s surgery area may be open again to treat the bile leak. I was so surprise that why the tube wasn’t replaced during the surgery. Currently, my father is too weak to receive either procedure or another surgery. I am very disappoint with the surgery. I am thinking to let him stay with the drainage for longer without having procedure or more surgery, until he is recovered well. I don’t know if it’s a correct decision. Also, I am looking for a clinical trial which my father is able to join.
