MelindaFebruary 6, 2015 at 4:21 am #86616iowagirlMemberAmy….good to see you here…and welcome. Matt is such a sweetheart and I know you’re there with him every step of the way. I’m about a month behind Matt…..diagnosed late Jan 2014 and a resection at Mayo on Feb 28th, 2014. We’ve traded a lot of notes with each other. Hoping that Matt’s new appt will yield something positive for him for treatment.

February 6, 2015 at 2:39 am #86615amyreidySpectatorThanks so much to all of you for your support and kind words. My husband has said over and over how wonderful everyone is on this site. I’m glad to be a part of it.
February 6, 2015 at 1:24 am #86614kvollandSpectatorHi Amy –
Well, welcome to the family, sorry things have changed with Matt recently. I have followed his updates closely as his story so closely follows my husbands although my husband is almost 2 years out on his resection.
We are here for anything you need even if just to vent frustration because this is what this disease does to us, makes us frustrated.Hugs, KrisV

February 5, 2015 at 6:39 pm #86611debnorcalModeratorWelcome, Amy.
My husband also has CC and is about a year behind Matt. He just had his resection on 1/12/15. I have been following Matt’s journey and sending him prayers and positive thoughts. I am sorry that Matt has taken a downward trajectory at this time. Stay strong. There are many excellent doctors and better treatment options surfacing all the time. Best wishes to you and Matt as you search for the best options. Please know many are thinking of you.
DebbieFebruary 5, 2015 at 4:30 pm #86610middlesister1ModeratorWelcome Amy!
I’m sorry that Matt’s recent developments may have given you the push to join us. My mother has CC and reading some of the posts and also the research articles that Gavin often posts has helped us through this. Since there have been so few large studies completed, it may come down to finding an approach that has showed promising for even a few and then pushing doctors to see if it would be applicable to your case.
We’re all in your corner.

February 5, 2015 at 3:30 pm #86609lainySpectatorAmy, welcome to our CC site, we will help you with anything we can. Matt sure is one heck of a nice guy, not answer as to why CC seems to hit so many wonderful people! We are here for you as well so don’t be shy. A good place to start is our Search button at the top. Just type in a word or two and a bunch of posts will appear on that subject. I am a firm believer that the more one knows the less frightening it all is. Glad to have you aboard but sorry either of you had to find us!
February 5, 2015 at 3:15 pm #10925amyreidySpectatorHi, my name is Amy Reidy. My husband, Matt Reidy was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma 12/19/13. He had a successful resection on 1/17/14 and his last scan on 1/28/15 showed a recurrence of the CCA. I am joining the site in hopes of finding good information and support to help us in our fight against this nasty cancer.
