I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your husband. He was so young, as was my brother, it is so unfair. Please know you are not alone in your grief and sadness. Comfort and hugs are sent your way.

Thank you everyone for your kinds words of condolence and support. It means a lot to me. I find myself shaking my head several times a day in disbelief, that cholangiocarcinoma took Patrick’s (my husband) life. We had such hope that he could win this battle…. The only thing that is making me feel better right now is knowing that he is in heaven and happy again- free from pain especially. I feel honored to have been able to walk alongside him as a comfort and support during this difficult journey, and I’m grateful to have had the cholonagocarcinoma foundation as a comfort and support for me to turn to as well.

    Thank you again,

    Katheryn

Dearest Katheryn, I am so very sorry to read of Patrick’s Passing. Please accept my loving condolences. I know that right now the rug has been pulled out from under you but as Darla said in time the good Memories will over take the bad as you will begin to live what we call your “new normal”. What a wonderful thing you are doing, to donate to our Foundation in Patrick’s Memory. Please use us if you need to get through these rough times.

If I should be the first to go,
And leave you alone, my Dear,
Let not your heart be lonely,
Nor in your eyes a tear.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
    I’ll not be far away,
With petals of love and tenderness,
I’ll pave for you the way.
To join me in our sanctuary,
    And ne’er again we’ll part.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
    I live within your heart.
    Take joy again in living,
    As you did in years gone by;
God knows what of he’s doing,
    And not be questioned why.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
My life with you on earth
    Each moment filled with happiness,
And love so few be worth.
I’ll be waiting for you Sweetheart
    Where skys are ever blue,
With eager heart and open arms
    Patiently, for you.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
May faith and my love keep.
    Your soul filled with contentment
    Eternally, I sleep.

    Dear Katheryn,

I am so sorry for your loss and truly know what you are going through. I’ve been there too. Nothing can easy the pain right now. Keep him with you forever in your heart and memories of the good times. Gradually those memories will help you through the bad times. Patrick was so young and had so much to live for. What a wonderful tribute to donate to the foundation in his name.

I know I don’t really know you except for your posts on the site, but feel some connection as my husbands mother’s name was also Katheryn and one of our sons is Patrick. Strange coincidence that we should be connected by this terrible disease that has taken both our husbands.

Know that we are all here to help support you through this sad & trying time.

    Lot’s of Love & Hugs,
    Darla
