Johanna, Great news! Glad you are feeling pretty good too! My husband Doug and I totally understand “scanxiety” – love that term! Keep winning that fight! Nancy

    Hello Katielinn,
    Thanks for you support!
I did see Dr. Pawlik in March and he told me he could not operate on me-he suggested the chemoembolization.
Dr. Pawlik is very nice-he introduced himself by his first name.
I like Hopkins-Christiana Hospital in DE told my oncologist chemoembolization would not help me. I am so glad I went to Hopkins.
Please let us know how the visit goes. Sincerely, Johanna

That is great to hear! We just scheduled an appointment with Dr. Pawlik and his team at Johns Hopkins for next week! Hoping they can provide more information as our Oncologist was not helpful AT ALL, besides telling us that it was Stage IV.

Johanna….Congratulations. A big hurray for necrosis. May these cells continue to die off.
Anticipating the test results is known to give people the jitters. How quickly relief and joy will take it

    Hello All,

I had my second follow up from my chemoembolization of my liver tumor on Tuesday. The MRI showed more necrosis of my tumor.
Of course, I know it will never die completely but it is stable and I have no mets.
Dr. Bagahat wants to see me in 2months. Dr. Geshwin did my chemoembolization (I understand he is one of the best MD’s for this procedure).
I am happy-it has been 8 months since I have been diagnosed with unresectable ICC and feel pretty good.
I will admit, I do have “scanxiety” before MRI’S and CT scans. Thank you for all your support. Sincerely, Johanna
PS I will never give up the fight to stay alive- I have too much lto do and learn!
