And, dear Becky, you have given it all; your life, your soul; your entire being was dedicated to your dear Ren. Where do we go from here? The void is horrendous to overcome, but overcome we must. Each of us does so in a different way. Our Dr. Giles once mentioned not to rush through this delicate time – you are mourning a wonderful human being. Lainy said it so well, reach out to others, dear Becky, to those that understand and can help guide you or, simply can relate to your feelings. The energy you had focused on your dear Ren now needs to be focused on your well being. It is not easy, but you can do it. We are here to help.
Dr. Giles addressed the issue of grief and loss in one his responses to another member. It might be of help to you also.

Above everything know that you are not alone.

MarionMarch 9, 2013 at 1:25 am #62297lainySpectatorBeckie, of course it is getting worse,,,for now. Everything is quieted down and that is when you began to really feel it. You had been running on high octane and now the tank is dry. You need this time, some quiet time, and please believe me when I tell you that down the road it does get better. If you feel the need please seek some help with a clergy or counselor, it could help when you are ready. If only we had the answer for the hole in the heart. Like Marion says, the harder the love the deeper the grief. We are still here for you!

Know there are people here that understand what you are going through and truely do care. Take care. Think of you.Love & Hugs,

-PamFebruary 12, 2013 at 6:05 pm #62293lainySpectatorDear Rendawgswif, I am so deeply sorry to hear of your beloved husband’s Passing and please accept my heartfelt condolances.
If I should be the first to go,
And leave you alone, my Dear,
Let not your heart be lonely,
Nor in your eyes a tear.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
I’ll not be far away,
With petals of love and tenderness,
I’ll pave for you the way.
To join me in our sanctuary,
And ne’er again we’ll part.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
I live within your heart.
Take joy again in living,
As you did in years gone by;
God knows what of he’s doing,
And not be questioned why.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
My life with you on earth
Each moment filled with happiness,
And love so few be worth.
I’ll be waiting for you Sweetheart
Where skys are ever blue,
With eager heart and open arms
Patiently, for you.
Grieve not for me, my Darling,
May faith and my love keep.
Your soul filled with contentment
Eternally, I sleep. By Mary HarrisFebruary 12, 2013 at 5:56 pm #7009rendawgswifMemberMy husband of 35 yrs passed 2/10/2013 @ 7:10 pm after fighting with all his might. His body just couldn’t do anymore. He was diagnosed on my 53 birthday April 18,2012… He held on past his own 53 birthday and past the holidays.
I feel so hurt, broken, lost and alone without him. For ever in my heart. Beckie -
