Dear Tony, please try to take one day at a time and then one day, when you are ready and the time is right, all the good memories will start coming forward and all the tears will be “happy” tears. There really is no set formula, it just seems to happen. For me, I have become a BIG believer in life beyond and it has brought me so much comfort. In fact I am going to post a note today on my latest visit from Teddy. It was unbelievable. Perhaps stars are not stars at all but rather openings in the sky where our loved ones shine down on us to let us know they are HAPPY!

Thank you for your kind words and messages. It’s been two weeks since Karen died and one week since her funeral. Friends and especially family have been immensely supportive, they are trying to keep me busy. Karen’s fondness for dogs knew no bounds and I seem to have inherited the afternoon walk routine she did for our eldest daughters Labrador.

It won’t be easy, I never believed it would, but with good luck and the strength of others I’m sure we will pull through.

Tony, I am very sorry to hear that nothing more medically can be done for Karen except ease any pain for her. I’m also sorry that you and the rest of her family must go through this, but know that you being there with her is the best thing you could be doing for her.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

    Tony,

I am so sorry to hear this. You are all doing what you can at this point. Keeping her comfortable and as free of pain as possible is most important. Glad to hear she has her loved ones at her side and I am sure she is aware of this.

Know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

    Love & Hugs,
    Darla

    Dear all
Monday has produced the worst. To be fair it was no more than expected.

Karen’s situation is the result of progression. All the medical team can do is to offer comfortort. We feel that they have done the very best they can.

It’s now just a matter of time – a few days perhaps.

There are three generations sat at her bedside. We have been with her for the last two days and will stay with her for as long as needed. We are reminiscing the good times and my memories before the girls were born.

We are sad but thankful for the many years we have had together.
    Tony
