    As most of you know I am one of two research advocates on the North American Hepatobiliary Task Force and a participant on the GI Steering Committee.
    Tomorrow I will be heading to Washington DC for a one day NCI sponsored workshop on Clinical Trials.
    The information gained should allow me to have a better understanding of the role of advocates in the area of: development of clinical trials; the approval process and the wording of the consent forms. Advocates protect patient
