It is great to hear that you and your brother have collected a great deal of expert advice so quickly.
There are some board colleagues who have been treated using the HAI pump, including several who participated years ago in the trials for this approach. If you search “HAI” or “hepatic arterial infusion” you will find some of them, while for others, you have to search “pump” and sift through a much larger number of hits. My impression is that the delivery of this treatment has gotten more skillful over time as experience was gained.
Gavin has also posted some medical journal articles reporting out on the earlier trials which will come up in a search.
Hopefully board members who have had chemo via HAI more recently can chime in describing their experience.

I am in need of some advice for my twin brother Jack who will be receiving his first chemo treatment this Wednesday and he just recently had a third opinion for his ICC. Just a brief history, he was diagnosed July 20. He has a centrally located mass on his liver, no mets. At this time concurred by two surgeons it is not resectable until it shrinks due to the location of the tumor. So he will start the standard chemo treatment at Moffit in Tampa. However just yesterday he got another opinion from a cancer center in Pittsburgh (Pgh) and they have been very successful placing an implantable pump under the skin that feeds a catheter into the hepatic artery with minimally invasive approach this will be in conjunction with systemic chemotherapy. It has shown a really good response for cc and it has become their first line of therapy there. Has anyone out there had a lot of success with this treatment?
Time is ticking so we really need to make a quick decision here thanks in advance .
