Need Guidance

I have written before regarding my Dad and his tentative diagnosis with CC. He has been dealing with this non-diagnosis since March, and is scheduled for surgery July 11th. He will likely have a resection unless they find that the nodes they see around his stomach are cancerous and then he will not be able to have the resection.

Up until the last 2 weeks he has been feeling fairly good. Had stents placed in March. In the last week, he can barely eat and barely even drink water. Physicians say, just a few more days till surgery! They say “take him to ER if he gets too dehydrated.” They have prescribed all kinds of meds for pain, nausea etc, but nothing seems to work. Should we take him to the ER and insist they keep him till the surgery so he will not get weaker? I am trying to help manage this from several hours away from my parents and they have no other help otherwise.
