    Trevor….welcome to our site. If indeed you have metastases to the omentum then surgical removal has been reported on this site. You may very well have this option also. Please, stay positive. Nothing definite has yet been determined. Hopefully, others will chime in and share some of their thoughts with you also.

    Hello Trevor and welcome to our family. Glad you found us but sorry you had to visit. If you go to our search buttom at the top of the page and type in omentum
    quite a few older posts will appear about that subject. I also know that soon others will be joining me in welcoming you here. Where are you being treated?
    You also have an option, always, of seeking other opinions from a few other doctors. Wishing you good luck and please keep us posted.

    Hello, my name is Trevor. I was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma in Mar. 2009 and had successful OTL in December 2009.

    Recently my CA19-9 counts have risen to 9,000. A ct scan revealed a thickening of my omentum, which makes them highly suspicious of recurrent cholangiocarcinoma.

    I have never had recurrence before.

    Are there people who have had similar experiences? If so could you please share them with me?

    I am concerned that the recurrence is in the omentum as it might not be resectable.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
