That’s fabulous! The world is her oyster right now! You have every reason to be proud of your Lexi!
February 23, 2014 at 7:34 pm #79865lainySpectatorWillow, you must know a Lexi (Alexis). She is graduating from NAU this May with a 4.0, worked for the whole 4 years for the Entertainment Company there
and has been a Camp Counselor every summer for years. Has been to S. Africa and then to Israel. I am a total bragging Grandma! Oh, she is majoring in Psychology and Event Planning. Would love to work for the Company that she went to S. Africa with. She would go around to Colleges talking about their programs or be an escort on the Student trips. She has an appt. March 6th in Memphis for a Psychology stint but we are trying to talk her out of Memphis as she has time yet to make up her mind. World get ready!February 23, 2014 at 6:44 pm #79863willowSpectatorI’m so glad o hear that this is helping keep you from despair/depression. We tend to either avoid meds or deny depression but it will strike the strongest of us at some time in life. Nice to hear you’re in better spirits going into the next loopdeloop on your own private roller coaster! Maybe you can get the grand kids this “creative” computer game called ‘Roller Coaster Tycoon’. My daughter loves it. You build your own amusement park but have to learn business skills along the way. Anyhow, I’d like your roller coaster to be mellow and smooth from here on! Lexi is a great name, by the way!
February 23, 2014 at 6:10 pm #79862lainySpectatorWillow, I don’t mind at all……Lexapro 10mg one a day. I still get very tired from the Remicade infusions but have had nothing at all from the Lexapro. I figured that they would be good as my Granddaughter is Lexy! It’s been about a month now.
February 23, 2014 at 5:33 pm #79861willowSpectatorLainey,
What “happy pills” are you on that have no side effects, if you don’t mind my asking?February 23, 2014 at 1:16 am #79874kvollandSpectatorAh Lainy, so full of good humor even when facing a major “brain” surgery no less…..at least they know you have one. That would be my husband’s take on it. I had a head CT years ago and i kept them for years to prove I had one. We are here for you and if you need anything let me know.

February 22, 2014 at 9:59 pm #79873lainySpectatorHa, Ha Clare, and thank you so much from across the pond.
February 22, 2014 at 8:27 pm #79872claremSpectatorHi Lainy,
I’ve not been on since Tuesday and just caught up with your news. You do like to give the doctors a run for their money! We never doubted you had a brain but I suspect your heart is even bigger. x
February 22, 2014 at 1:32 am #79871darlaSpectatorLainy,
So far so good and I am sure you will come through this with flying colors. Keep us updated. As for the pills, if they make you feel good do it.
Love & Hugs,
DarlaFebruary 22, 2014 at 12:14 am #79870lainySpectatorThank you Caroline, Surfer and Willow. I usually can laugh about many things but I tell you even this small amount of Happy Pills have me really going! I asked my daughter today if I should take my show on the road. I really recommend them to anyone who may be depressed, no side effects either.
At least for me, I am so glad I asked for the lowest dose.February 22, 2014 at 12:00 am #79869willowSpectatorLainey,
You are so funny… Even when discussing your own brain surgery! We are all concerned for your well being and are so glad you’re in good hands. Keep us posted on the plan. Many many warm regards and a hug,
WillowFebruary 21, 2014 at 11:27 pm #79868lainySpectatorHa, Ha Caroline, you are our detective. The Neuro is on the 2nd floor with BIG windows and I was parked smack dab in front. He walked in the room and saw me looking down at the car. Yes, that is Mr. T and I found this, forgot I had it. I think it is a nice change and I like that KrisV V has Marks picture. I know I wonder at times what the patients look like, it give a face to the space!
February 21, 2014 at 10:36 pm #79867bananaf1shSpectatorOh Lainy, you’re a model of grace and good humor. My fingers, toes, and everything else are crossed for a successful surgery & fast relief for you. Btw, is that Teddy on your profile picture? I miss seeing your smiling face, but I like the picture of Teddy smiling too.
Oh, and I gotta ask: how did the doc known you had a blue car??

February 21, 2014 at 8:06 pm #79866surfer1SpectatorI’ll be thinking of you Lainey and know you will get through this.
February 21, 2014 at 7:57 pm #9584lainySpectatorAnyhew, the EEG was perfect and he has called My GP to get me an appointment with Dr. Nevra King who is 42 and has a 5* rating and I can go to my Hospital! So far so good.
My right side was a little weaker (arm and leg) and he noticed my face drooped a tad more. Its up to the NeuroSurgeon if she feels it needs to be done now or later but he feels sooner the better as it will only get worse. He said 2 times it is a relatively easy surgery. Hey! that’s my brain your talking about.
And for all of you who wondered if I really had one, I do….so there!
I will update when I go for this mammoth appointment. He did like that I did so much research on it and he loved my blue car, it reminded him of his father who always had blue cars in Iran. Do ya think I could find a Grandpa with cataracts until I get back to normal? Ah fa gid aboud it! -
