    Hello All!
I wanted to let everyone know right away that I did have a PET/CT yesterday and got a call from my surgeon today….and it’s all good news!!!!! Post surgical changes only! Won’t go into all the details, but such an utter relief. I feel as if my life has been given back to me…again…I feel SO grateful. And it feels like a day that needs some good news for us all.

Thanks Kris for your story that really was my anchor and gave me hope during this time. And thank you all for your support and kindness. This truly is an amazing group of people!

That must have been a VERY difficult time with no answers for so long. I can’t imagine how frightened you must have been.

Just to read your story has helped me a GREAT deal…it does let me put this in perspective, to realize that it can just be nothing. There is a reason to hope, as you said.

Thanks so much for taking the time to tell your story. This is a group of many really amazing people. I am so grateful that I found it. I know that I’m sending all of my positive thoughts to you for your continuing good news!

    Jean,
I will think the most positive thoughts for you. I am not trying to make light of your fear as I too have been there, but here is my story and it might give you hope. I had a “spot” in my bile duct and an abnormal lymph node. I had my doctor in Sweden, a doctor in the US, and my original surgon in Scotland look at my scans and they were all very worried. Two months later I had another MRI, PET/CT and still no answers. I then had an exploratory surgery and they come back with NOTHING and the “spot” disappeared and I have had clean scans for the last 8 months.

I know that when I was freaking out at the time, people trying to tell me not to worry didnt make me not worry. So I know that you will continue to be frightened and scared and that IT will continue to sit in your head where it is hard to forget and relax, but there is a reason to hope. And you have a group of people here who care about you and will be praying, and thinking positive thoughts and hoping nothing but the best for you.

Thanks Lainy and Lisa. I am trying to put it in prespective, but it sure brings back the same feelings as when this was first found.

I really appreciate your support…it helps so much just to know there are people out there that really do understand.

Thanks for being there! I’ll keep you posted.

Stay strong, Jean. Doctors have also used the term “worrisome” with Teddy. So, far that has meant nothing to worry about. I would rather they worry than not. If indeed it is something, they will have caught it apparently at the onset.
Try to think good thoughts and we will also be thinking about you!

Hang in there, Jean! There may not be anything there… and if there is then there will be time to deal with it then.

Meanwhile, you always have us to lean on!

I just had a call from my surgeon and after further reading of my CT from last week, which he had reported as having absdolutely no areas of concern, there are two new areas that are worrisome. One area, at the surgery site, he thinks is just from retraction during surgery. The other area is very small and new…not on prior scans. They’re scheduling another PET/CT. I am just so afraid…am just beside myself with fear. I know you will all understand. He said he simply couldn’t tell if it’s something or nothing at all. Just to let you all know..I had to tell someone.
