For those of you living in NJ, you should be aware that oral chemo drugs, including Xeloda must be covered based on a law from 2012. I found this on Horizon’s website while we were waiting for prior authorization for Xeloda, and realized that bc of it no one in NJ requires prior auth for it (although they may have to pay up front and then get reimbursed). Crazy that her doctors at Sloan didnt know this but I guess they deal with NY mostly and not pharmacies in NJ. For more info you can copy and paste the links below:
