New type of chemo for John I need any info available from you

The drs. have determined that Johns tumors have started to grow in just the 6 weeks he’s been off chemo. He was getting Gemzar and cisplatin. During the chemo those drugs kept the tumors from growing only. Now they want to put him on Mitomycin-C every 28 days IV & Xeloda 2 X day for 14 days.

The drs. said there is only a 30% chance of it working. Has anyone had this treatment option and did it help at all? I don’t like the 30% part at all.

The dr. also mentioned Cpt-11 w/ Xeloda or Taxotere alone or an oral med
Erlotonib but she said that would be down the line.

I know I am asking a lot of questions but I’m having trouble finding out online about these drugs.
