    Thing about Tylenol is that it is easier on the tummy than the other stuff….

    Lainy;

    Thanks for your support. I have been giving Mom the tylenol; just didn’t know if there was anything else. I keep searching for ways to help Mom even if I know how bad this is. Can’t help it.

    Dear SharonLee, I think you kind of new this was coming and hope you get Hospice in sooner then later as they are such a huge help and will make sure Mom has everything she needs. Why don’t you want to give her the Tylenol? At this point it is not going to hurt her and I remember Hospice had Teddy on Tylenol for his fevers. Anything that will help her stay comfortale is acceptable at this point. Your ONC will call and set up the initial appointment and they will come out to the house to see what Mom is in need of. We had a hospital bed for Teddy and it came that night! I set it up in the living room as it was brighter, airier and his big TV was there. It was also so much nicer for visitors and he could be in the center of everything. We had a walker for him as well. I know this is a hard time for you but be strong and you will never look back and regret what you did for your Mom. Cherish this time together.

    Mom is still very weak and she does not want any more chemo.
    Now the oncologist says to contact hospice. Mom still has a 101 temp and the oncologist says tumor fever. I give her a product like tylenol which brings it down, but this is every day. Does anyone know of other products to help with this? Again, thanks to all who help me take care of my Mom.
