No SBRT for me

MelindaI missed a phone call. When I listened to the msg it was my radiologist…. Never a good sign. I sat down, took a few deep breaths and returned his call. He says SBRT is not an option. Between the colon and the duodenum there’s too much risk. Plus, there’s a couple very small almost not noticed lymph nodes that lit up in the scan also. So now the plan is lower dose broader beam radiation which will cover the entire area but hopefully not harm my good organs too much. Only good news? Originally he had said 5 weeks. Now he says 3. I just pray it works!
