BarbaraThanks again for all of the support and well wishes…I KNOW it makes a difference. My Dad has a mild case of diverticulitis, but his attitude and demeanor has improved drastically. And why not….he has a new lease on life
They dropped him down to PET scans every 3 months, but we can handle that.
Life is good!This is GREAT news. Isn’t this rollercoaster leaving us breathless? Keep us posted and tell your dad we’re all so happy to hear this news.

Isn’t that the greatest news one could get! It sounds as though your dad is getting great care in that they were addressing the issue so quickly that you had little time to worry. Makes us aware that we need to keep up our positive attitude until we have something proven otherwise…hard to do though when it’s a loved one or ourselves.
I am so happy for you both.We have had some incredible news! My Dad went in for an endoscopy and colonoscopy (at the same time, poor guy!) What they found were BENIGN cysts! They had a little trouble getting around with all of the surgery, but said everything looks great! Such beautiful words…..still cancer free.
Thank you again for all of the wishes, prayers, and support. I know they are helping my Dad.Thank you for the encouragement. Will post as soon as we know anything at all. His Drs already met at their “tumor” board to discuss this, so I imagine things will go fast..
Cinamin….Sorry to hear the latest. Hopefully, this area described is related to something else. That has happened and I am hoping for it to hold true for you Dad also. Fingers are crossed for tomorrow.

Sorry to hear of this latest news about your dad. I know what you mean about trying not to panic though, I went through that with my dad and it is tough getting news such as this. But I know that you and your dad will bounce back and get your heads around the new fight plan once you know what it is. Please don’t give up hope and know that we are all here for you. I will keep my fingers crossed for the best possible news from your dads tests.

Dear Cinn, I am so sorry about the new “pop-up”. You are right though that it is time to gear up again and think that the better news would be that is all that showed up? We will await the new test results and the new game plan. Hoping for decent news!
Been awhile again. My Dad had a PET scan last week, and a brand new “thing” lit it up. It’s been 5 months since his last clean scan, and this thing measured 1.6×1.3 cm. Sitting in the common bile duct. Pretty darn big for being less than 5 months old. We’re trying very hard not to panic right now. My Dad has finally been doing so well, and his bloodwork is great. We’re holding on to the hope that this is NOT a reoccurance. ERCP, colonoscopy, and biopsy scheduled for the upcoming days. My Dad was devastated by the news, as were we all. Have to wrap our heads around this, and gear up for another fight
