Valerie….So good to hear that the operation was a success. Valerie, I so much understand your wanting to share your knowledge with the parents. Being that this disease is so little understood you will be a wonderful resource to them.
All my best,
MarionMay 18, 2011 at 3:12 pm #50398lainySpectatorValerie, thanks for the update and I am so glad M came through the surgery well. I am even happier that they feel they got it all.
I am meeting a brand new member for lunch today. Her 49 year old husband is being treated at Mayo in Scottsdale. You know how excited I get when meeting a CC Member! If you don’t mind can you please check in a little with updates on M? Thanks.May 18, 2011 at 2:37 pm #50391BazelSpectatorThank you to everyone for the kind comments and prayers on behalf of

All my best wishes,
MarionMay 17, 2011 at 10:31 pm #50388jathy1125SpectatorBazel-So sorry about your friend. I am little worried that they did a needle biopsy and not a brushing. I was always told that could be not a good thing, that is something they should question.
I would love to share my story with your friends. I worry that some people think by always telling them to read my story I am self absord. I remember when I was first diagnosed and found this site, even though it was full of information and love, it wasn’t very positive, we all know there are few long term survivors on here. I always hope my story would give hope.
Lots of prayers-CathyMay 17, 2011 at 7:57 pm #50389slittle1127MemberDear Bazel – How blessed this family is to have you for a friend. How wonderful that you can reach out to them with compassion and understanding. Please assure them that I am praying, many of us on this board are praying, and we understand the journey. Blessings, Susan
May 17, 2011 at 12:08 pm #50397karenSpectatorPrayers of healing. I am sure this was very hard for you to hear, but your journey has made you strong to be able to help your co-worker. I also send prayers to you dear Bazel. Peace be.
KarenMay 17, 2011 at 6:33 am #50396marionsModeratorBazel….youth…she has youth on her side and all the resilience coming with it.
My thoughts and warmest wishes are going out to this young lady and her family.
All my love,
MarionMay 17, 2011 at 6:14 am #50395lainySpectatorFYI ladies, the youngest I have heard of /seen is right here on our Faces of CC and she was I think 10 or 11.
May 17, 2011 at 5:51 am #50394nancy246SpectatorBazel, I will be praying for this young girl. This is the youngest I have heard of, though you see more and more young people in their 20’s and 30’s on this board. Makes you wonder what is happening in our world and with our bodies that is causing this. We must fight, fight, fight and we will ultimately win this battle against CC. I hope that the win is soon, to stop this suffering. Let your co-worker know that there is a whole board of caring people rooting for his daughter. I am glad she is getting surgery right away and they found it before it spread further. I think her chances are good. Take care. Nancy
May 17, 2011 at 4:34 am #50393jamie-dMemberI will be praying for her. It is such devastating news for a parent. Last month on our local news they talked about a 17 yr old here in Minnesota that is also battling aggresive liver cancer. So hard to understand…. Please keep us updated on her progress. Again, I will be adding her to my prayers.
JamieMay 16, 2011 at 4:20 pm #50392lainySpectatorOh, Valerie, I am devastated. Do you think it would help at all if I paid the parents a visit tomorrow? I may be meeting up with another new member Wednesday who is using Mayo for Chemo and etc. Just when you think you have heard the worst something far worse pops up. This just breaks my heart and you are right….no way to start a Monday.
May 16, 2011 at 3:29 pm #5151BazelSpectatorThis morning I learned that a co-workers 17-year old daughter has been diagnosed with a
