Great news, Heather. And, you are so very right as life has changed.
You might also want to check the search function for “nausea” as you might find some helpful tips in combating the side effects of the chemo. Personally, I have found some of the best suggestions being shared on this site.
    Wishing for continued success.

Hello everyone! As soon as we got back from Mayo with all of the awful news of “no hope”…we decided that that is not how God wants us to live our lives..afterall…He gave us His Son so we could have victory over hopelessness every single day of our lives! And with that, immediately made plans to see our oncologist and we are now 3 treatments in of Gemzar with 5 left until new stents are placed and MRI and CT scans let us know how successful this treatment has been. We will then discuss what road of treatment we will take from there to continue fighting this beast. Lee’s treatments are on Fridays…and by Sunday night he’s pretty darn sick…it lasts usually 24-48 hours…it makes the flu look like a holiday! Emilee gets pretty frightened and nervous when she hears Lee in the bathroom….which in turn makes our little yorkie Harlee nervous too…and in no time at all you will find both of them under the covers in our bed! I have to giggle a little, cuz I wish I could do that!!! Lee and I seem to be at each other’s throats constantly lately….it’s worse than Grumpy Old Men! I know it’s stress, the fear of the unknown and of course our lives coming to a screeching hault as we once knew it…but every day we find blessings in the midst of terror…and we find ourselves off and running to do whatever it takes to win the fight against this beast.

    Love,
    Heather
