    Cathy…..Organ donors are some of the most kind, caring, and unselfish people on our earth. I have the utmost respect for people who, while enduring unimaginable grief consider the life of others. I am humbled by their sacrifice. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

    2 years ago on the 4th of July, I was on life support and was given 24 hours to live, maybe. Thanks to the wonderful medical staff at Barnes-Jewish I am alive. Dr. Chapman and staff wouldn’t give up. Please remember and say a prayer for my donor family, who is having a whole different 4th of July than me. They are our heroes.
