Duke….It was suspected that my husband’s cancer had developed 2 years pre-diagnoses. The symptoms in the proceeding years included increased digestive issues leading to non-tolerance to fatty foods, steadily increasing tiredness (bordering on constant exhaustion) and a slight, dull ache in his abdominal area.

We all know that most of us are diagnosed in Stage 4. But little is understood about what triggers the cancer to become active. I was an engineer for 40 years and one of the things I had to do was to come up with possible causes when things went south. Frequently that came down to identifying changes that may have initiated the problem. So, I’d like to hear from you about changes in your lives that may have been initiators.

What significant changes occurred in the two years or so before you were diagnosed with CCA, especially stressful things? Also, changes in diet or environment, that sort of thing. Something occurred which drove the cancer from dormant to active.

    Maybe.

Or, possibly, I am just grasping at straws, and this is a dead end.

    Duke
