Hello Friends, has anyone been in a similar situation where you needed to make the decision about having radiation after resection? Charlie had a little over half of his liver removed in Nov. at UNC Hospital. His oncologist Dr. Sanoff at UNC set him up with consult at Baptist closer to home about radiation. She said if he does want to do radiation, it needs to be done pretty soon after the resection. His margins were negative for cancer after surgery. She said she didn’t have enough data on it to say if it would or wouldn’t be worth it. She did say he probably wouldn’t feel too good and he’s not so crazy about that since he’s still recovering from the surgery.
Any information you can share is greatly appreciated. Of course, we’ll hopefully learn a lot at the consult, but I’ve found that those living with cc here give the best advice. Thank you!
Carol
