    Dear Amangeloff,

I am so sorry to hear your husband is in more pain and too sleepy from the meds to participate in family life right now. That has to be one of the hardest things for you. I read back your previous posts because we are in N. CA and my sis is being tx at Stanford, but like the rec. of more good Dr’s down there if and when she is ready for a 2nd opinion. Can you tell me, is your husband still cancer free? Just side effect from his surgery causing his pain? God Bless you and your young family. Willow

Amangeloff: Percy posted a the below link for pain reduction; it might give you some ideas:

Also, our JeffG suffered from severe pain and found relief with:
Morphine 30mg every 8 hours and 4mg of Hydromorphone every four hours as needed for break through pain.

    I hope this helped.
    My heart is with you,

My 41 year old husband was diagnosed with CC a year and a half ago. He has done very well until the last few weeks. His pain intensified and so his Fentanyl patch was increased to 175mcg. This makes him so sleepy he cannot keep his eyes open sometimes through dinner. I do not want him in pain but I want him to be able to engage somewhat with our family. Any suggestions??
