erashid……this is not an unusual occurrence with this disease. The oncologist will prescribe a treatment protocol and your Mom must then decide the next step to take.

MarionSo she had an CT scan and today we got the results and met our oncologist.
-She has tumors on her liver, the biggest is 26 mm. She has lymph node metastases. İn vena cava,aortocaval,in cardiophrenic and her right mammarian(breast) . These are our lymph node metastases. All the other places are clean.
Our oncologist wanted the lab tests again so he can start for chemo.Does someone have distance lymph node? İs this something really bad? What happens next?

Praying this is not a recurrence but if it is there are so many treatment options. I have had five recurrences and we just plug along and consider it a chronic disease.
LisaWe are all here hoping that it’s not a recurrence (which you can deal with), but a minor hiccup. Let us know how the scan results come out.

CatherineWe both are not upset actually. We are still happy, there are lots of things to do. Maybe its just an infection, even if it is a reccurence we can fight with that. Just wishing for the best.. Thank u for your support, i will keep writing here.
Sounds actually good. Like I said try to relax as if you are upset in front of Mom it will upset her. Try to do something to take your minds off it. I am anxiously awaiting the scan as well!
Thank u for ur answer Lainy. All the blood tests are so good. Liver numbers are perfect and the bilirubin is good too. No problem with these.. Only the ca19-9 and the cea are gone up. İ hope it will be an infection.. really stressed out with this news. And yes she had lab tests every 3 months. The number was 27 in May and June.
Dear Erashid, the answer is yes, that is the nature of the beast, however, that does not mean the CC has returned. It could be an infection which also occurs at times. You will know more after the Scan. I take it she had had LABS at least every 3 months along with scans? Again it may be an infection as we have seen CA numbers in the thousands. Unfortunately a scan is the only way to really know anything so hang in there for one more week. Please let us know the outcome and how your Mother is doing. Try to do some things with her that can possibly take your minds off the scan for a few days.
Hi to u all. My mother was diagnosed 31.12.2014 with intrahepatic cc, 8 cm tumor and satelite tumors. She had a right lobe resection. Didnt need chemoteraphy. All was going fine her ca19-9 was 27 for months. Today we had an blood test. Liver is working good,all the numbers are really good. But the ca19-9 is up to 253. We have a ct scan after 25th of september. We dont know what is going on. She had her operation 6 months ago, did it recurence this early?
And what do we do next? İs this poor prognosis ? Does anyone has a similar story?
Help please,this really SUCKS!
