Welcome. I don’t think the major cancer centers will ever look at your records without looking at you. At least that has been our experience. They will take all of your records, but they want to do physical exams and other testing as well. We wanted MDAnderson (and Mayo) to do this, but we haven’t had any luck. Once you’ve started treatment somewhere else you have to wait until your cycle is complete, before they will even discuss your case and they still want to see you in person.

I noticed over on the Cancer Compass website that one person is having difficulty getting Sloan Kettering or Mayo to accept the slides & records for review. Here is the link: http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,4007,0.htm
Anyone have any advice for this person on how to convince one of the major cancer centers to review the records and offer an opinion without actually visiting the cancer center?
And perhaps this information should be posted here, too? (maybe in the general section??)
