One thing cancer is good at is helping one focus on living day by day and enjoying the little things. I too believe strongly in not letting this disease define my life. I am glad to hear that you are doing well and believe you will find this site very helpful and encouraging.

Willow…..Count me in on the medical marijuana. (Or, had you already?) Don’t think that many can argue with the benefits of Cannabis.

    Hi Lee,
Your story is uplifting as is your attitude ! I’m from Northern CA too. You’re only the 2nd person on this board who swears by med marijuana. It’s also good for keeping appetite up when there is none.
Tried to get my elderly uncle to try it again for shingles but he didnt get relief. A few of my patients in the dental office use it as well for pain mgmt.
My sister is the one w CC and so far she hasn’t had consistent pain. When she did have it, she was able to manage w the meds they gave her or Tylenol.
Your energy is beautiful and I wish you well.

Lee….a warm welcome and thanks for joining in. Lee, you live in Sonoma County, as do I. And, it amazes me to hear of another person with this disease in this county alone. Often wonder as to how many people are misdiagnosed witht his disease.
Wishing for all good things to continue for you.
    Hugs,
    Marion

Congratulations on over a year of surivorship! It sounds like you have a great attitude and have taken control of a terrible situation.

I am curious to hear the answers to Lainy and Lisa’s questions to you. Don’t be afraid to not be brief. We are here to share your burden and support you.

Dear Lee, welcome to our amazing family and CONGRATULATIONS on already being a survivor! You have a great attitude and that will get you far. I call it getting one’s house in order. I am also wondering if you are getting any kind of treatment. Looking forward to more good reports from you and wishing you the very best.

Hello, this will be brief. Diagnosed Jan 2012, 60% liver resection, in March 2012. Still wakin up in the morning. Minor issues with abdominal stuff, but mostly discomfort. Using med marij for pain, in 400 mg caps. Way better than perco or oxy. Other than the munchies, I don’t see any side effects. Just wanted to introduce myself. Workin hard to not be defined by the diagnosis. Trying to make every day count. Sorting my life, makin amends, gettig rid of useless baggage …….lee
