Jetcm….there is a saying: The reports are only as good as the interpreter of the scan; one of the major reasons we try to steer people toward second opinions from a “physician” very familiar with this disease.
    Thanks for sharing your experience.

Dear JETcm, WOW! Sounds like your ONC is great! Talk about a ride on the ride on the roller coaster! Yes, and any doubts do it over! Had that happen this last spring to me about a benign tumor in my head. The NeuroSurgeon said he could not get a clear picture and we did a do over. Just goes to show how we have to question all the time. SO glad for your good news, though.

Just a reminder..Always have the oncologist review the new scans with you. Recently my wife’s lung scan was said to be better by her oncologist. We got a copy of the radiologist’s report. and it said that the lung tumor was WORSE! Quite a bit worse. Then we reviewed the scan directly with the oncologist.
Even we could see that it was better! The radiologist did not interpret it correctly!
If the oncologist takes the radiologist’s report as correct and does not look at the actual scan it may screw up the entire treatment. In this case it did not because the oncologist saw the scan and ignored the radiology opinion. We are asking the radiologist to change his reading.
