Dear Tim and Julie, my heart goes out to you on the Passing of Sean. A valiant warrior at such a young age. A new angel for G-d who will be watching over you now as you did for him.

    I’M STILL HERE
I’m at your side each night and day,
In your heart is where I’ll stay.
You can feel, see or hear, I am not gone, I’m always near.
I’m the colorful leaves when fall comes round,
The pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I’m the first bright blossom you’ll see in Spring.
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I’m the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
And you’ll see that the face in the moon is mine.
I’ll whisper your name through the leaves on the trees,
And you’ll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.
I’m the salty tears that flow when you weep,
And the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I’m the smile you see on a baby’s face.
Just look for me, I’m every place!

Dear Tim and Julie……I am so sorry for the loss of your son. I am the mom of one son and I can’t imagine losing him. I know as parents, we’d rather it was us than them, but we don’t get those choices. I hope sweet memories will give you comfort and peace. Please know that we share your loss.

    Dear Tim and Julie,

It is always heartbreaking when we hear of a loss, but especially so when it is a younger patient.

My heartfelt condolences are with your family and loved ones.

Our son Sean passed away from CC this past Sunday, 12 March. He was at home, holding the hands of his Mom, Dad and girlfriend. We are completely heartbroken, but the dignity, strength, bravery and maturity that Sean showed in his final months is an inspiration that we are sure will help us through this time. He would have turned 22 on March 20th.

We are having his funeral on Saturday, 18 March. Below is a link to his obituary notice with his picture. I’m not sure how long the site will host the photo.

As background, Sean was diagnosed in August 2015 at the age of 20. He fought through 10 months of Gem/Cis chemo, three TACE procedures and a clinical trial at NIH. In the end, we ran out of treatment options, but he never gave up.

Thanks to those who have provided support and encouragement on this site. We learned a lot here in the past year and a half.
