Thank you all for your well wishes. It was a dream come true yesterday and now I pray that Randy can find his peace. We have talked a lot about legacy. He leaves a great legacy in wonderful children and fabulous grandchildren who will know him or know of him and what it means to be a member and belong in this family. Randy is the rock that grounded us all and when he leaves us (temporarily) we will enjoy the benefits of all he taught us by example.

Congratulations to you and Randy for the birth of your second grandson Jonathon James. This is great news and it is so good that Randy was able to hold his grandson. What a great day and I hope that you both are able to celebrate today with your family.
My best wishes to you, Randy and all of your family,
Gavin

What a great story. I too am a papa with a new grandchild – a grandaughter born Dec. 11. I know of Randy’s great joy and love for Jonathan James. Thank you God for blessing Randy and his family with this gift from heaven. God is good. May His grace and mercy multiply to you.bob

January 21, 2011 at 4:07 am #46970mlepp0416SpectatorSusan and Randy…what a wonderful post. This brought tears to my eyes as it reminder me so much of our situation. My youngest daughter wanted her step dad Tom to be able to walk her down the aisle on her wedding day, so he delayed his liver resection until afer her wedding and made that walk with her. When her first little guy arrived (10 weeks early @ 2 lbs 9 oz) she named his Thomas after his Papa Tom. He is now 19 months old and Tom never thought he would be alive to meet him because he was given only 6 months to live. But here we are 14 months later and little Thomas is the apple of his Papa Tom’s eye!
Isn’t it great that Papa Randy got to hold him first? That is just awesome!
Randy is in our prayers and hopefully he will get to see that first birthday come around for little Jonathan.
Go with God and KEEP KICKIN’ THAT cancer.

January 21, 2011 at 2:07 am #46966lainySpectatorDear Susan & Randy, CONGRATULATIONS! Nothing in the world is better than a new born baby. That, Randy got to hold Johnathan James is in itself another Miracle. 2 Miracles in one day. Can’t beat that! Wishing Johnathen the very best life has to offer.
January 21, 2011 at 1:46 am #4648slittle1127MemberMy husband, Randy, was diagnosed with CC in July 2010. He has made it his life’s remaining work to live for the birth of our second grandson, Jonathan James Little. A healthy baby Jonathan arrived today at 12:34 pm weighing in a light 6 pounds 4 ounces and 19 inches long. He’s a little guy, but has a healthy cry and some dark hair. The biggest blessing was #1, Papa (Randy) was able to be alive for this birth and #2 that he was the first one to hold this new blessing – even before Jonathan’s mommy and daddy. We will tell this story over and over so Jonathan always knows that his papa was alive for him and held him first. We know we are not promised tomorrow, but we are rejoicing in this day – the birth of our newest family member. Papa got his wish – to be alive for the birth of this baby. May God watch over Randy in peace and comfort for the days ahead.
