Should I try a clinical trial?

I cannot offer you first hand experience, but I would encourage you to visit the delcath website. This is the technology ABC profiled. I applied for my father, but he was not accepted. It looks really promising.

What is the experience of the group with clinical trials? Do they work, do more harm, or would I just be a guinea pig? I have heard of a trial with a trial drug taken with Gemzar but the side effects will be rash and diarrhea. I am trying to decide if it is worth a change in my quality of life since I am doing fine on Gemzar and Xeloda and my tumor is shrinking. What are your thoughts or experiences with clinical trials?
